Titus 2:12, Revelations 21:7
Have students draw an outline of their hand on contruction paper and cut it out. Have each child write on the hand why children should not use alcohol or other drugs. Place the hands together on the Sunday School wall or bulletin board with the message "Join together for a drug-free land". Sing "He's got the whole world in His hands".

I Corinthians 6:19-20
Talk about the effects of drugs on the body and why not to use them. Explain the difference between taking medicine for illness and the use of mind-altering drugs. Cut strips of red contruction paper and have the children write their names on a link. Staple the links together to form a paper chain. "We are stronger when we are linked to Jesus and His church." Display the chain in the church or on a bulletin. Ask the congreation to pray for the children to be drug-free and safe.

Matthew 5:14-16, Ephesians 5:8-9, Proverbs 4:18-19
Children as young as 10-12 years old sometimes turn to drugs and alcohol because of their friends or because they say they don't have anything to do. Give each child a candle cut out of contruction paper and ask them to name positive things/activites they can do. Tell them that by resisting the temptation to use drugs, they will glorify God and be a light to others. Pray the Lord's Prayer and sing "This Little Light of Mine, I'm Gonna Let it Shine"
