Services provided by ILCAAAP

ILCAAAP Teen Board performs skits and gives presentations to youth groups, camps, schools, and community groups. These high school students model and promote a drug-free lifestyle to their peers. They also work with other youth groups to begin similar programs in their communities.

Sponsors Annual Alcohol Awareness Month Poster Contest for all youth in grades 6-12, including public, private and home schools.

Sponsors Annual Interfaith Prevention Retreat for high school students

Develops bulletin announcements & prevention materials for churches for Alcohol Awareness Month (April) and Red Ribbon Week (October).

Lending library of books, audiotapes, and videos.

Exhibits at youth conferences, denominational conferences, wellness fairs, and preention events.

Publishes a quarterly newsletter, ILCAAAP News, on educational and legislative issues.

Legislative Updates and Action Alerts on gambling and alcohol legislation.

Legislative work on alcohol, other drugs, and gambling issues.

Coordinates a statewide coalition and grassroots network to oppose the expansion of gambling in Illinois.

Resoure center for gambling-related issues.

Media interview on gambling and alcohol issues.
