ILCAAAP Calls on Churches to Circulate Petitions to Oppose the Expansion of Gambling
Legislative leaders and the Governor are now working on a gambling expansion plan that could include: 1) a city-owned casinos in Chicago, 2) additional casinos, 3) slots at racetracks, 4) expanding gambling positions at existing casinos, 5) Account Deposit Wagering that legalizes Internet gambling on horse racing.
Illinois Church Action on Alcohol and Addiction Problems (ILCAAAP) is calling on churches to circulate petitions from Nov. 13th to Nov. 25th to oppose this expansion of gambling. The petitions are to be mailed or hand delivered to Legislators in their district offices to show local opposition to more gambling in Illinois. Download petitions here or call 877-204-6863.
