Gambling Action Alert

The Governor is putting pressure on State Representatives to pass the gambling expansion bills linked to the capital construction program. These flawed bills would triple the amount of gambling in Illinois. Below is my Letter to the Editor, and an article from today's Crain's Chicago Business that states: "House Republicans, who have traditionally opposed state intervention in private enterprise, say they would have supplied enough votes to pass the bill if the speaker had put it up for a vote."

For Immediate Action

  1. Contact your State Representative in his/her District office and ask them to Vote NO on the massive gambling expansion bill (HB 2651) and Leasing of the Lottery (HB 1496).
  2. Use the information below to write a Letter to the Editor for your local newspaper.
  3. Forward to 10 others.
