What ILCAAAP means to me!

  1. I am so glad that I went to the ILCAAAP Retreat and then joined the board because it keeps us away from alcohol and other drugs and it does that in such a positive way. I have made so many new friends here and we all have made a great decision to be drug-free.

  2. The board has shown me many ways to be drug-free. When the board goes to schools or retreats, I feel like I am making a difference in people's lives and helping them make good choices. ILCAAAP is one of the best things I have ever done. It has made me a better person.

  3. High school is such a difficult time in life, and for me, being a part of the teen board has made a huge difference. Being a part of something meaningful and fulfilling has given me a purpose and a great support group. I always have a hopeful feeling that we truly can make a difference, and it is wonderful.

  4. When I was younger, I was a shy one. I never gave myself a chance. But now, with the help of ILCAAAP, I'm full of self-confidence.

I hope I can change someone's life like ILCAAAP has made a change in me. I hope that I can make a difference in someone's life, so that they might be able to see that nothing good can come from drugs.
    - Evyn
  5. The board is a lifestyle. I can choose to live a drug-free life and not give into peer pressure. The board is also like a support group. Everyone is so supportive and they are people who I can go to if I ever need help. One reason I joined was that I wanted to find true friends who would accept my decision to live a drug-free life.

  6. The ILCAAAP board has taught me that I don't have to do what everyone else is doing to fit in or be accepted.
    - Jessica
